This blog was just created and we haven’t had time to really dig into it yet – but we’d like to start logging some updated here and plan to do so soon!
Harriet Quincy Casolare was born on April 16, 2022 at 10:21pm weighing 1lb 9.6oz. Her original due date was July 30, 2022 making her 25 weeks 0 days gestational age at birth. She needed extra care right from the start and made her way up to the NICU shortly after delivery.
We plan to fill in the gaps in the next (probably lengthy) post, but as of today (5/22/2022) Harriet has a substantial list of victories under her belt. She’s just over 5 weeks old (30 weeks GA) now. It is interesting how one comes to feel about both the big items, like when she had to have surgery to close a valve near her heart near the end of April, to the little things like hearing her cry, hiccup and sneeze.
It has been a whirlwind of emotions thus far and I’m sure that will continue for years to come with HQ.
